Asher Penn, Kate Moss Rorschach, 2009.
“I had originally wanted to do Rorscachs on top of photographs of my girlfriend. I wanted the photos to look similar to photographs that Wolfgang Tillmans had taken of Kate Moss that were published in his book “Burg”. My girlfriend wasn’t entusiasthic about modeling, so I decided to use the source material instead. I did 100 copies of each photograph (that were 3) on 8.5x11 paper and did rorschach on all 300 pages. […] The works were made, scanned and designed into a book format in my NY apartment. The books were printed at The Printing House in the Bronx. The text on the spines were glued by hand after the printing, then sent back to the printers to be shrinkwrapped in sets of 3.”
